1. Set a budget and a goal
Pick a monthly amount you can lose without touching rent, food or savings. Treat it as the price of entertainment, not money that should grow. Set goals that have nothing to do with winning, such as trying one new game.
- Play only with money set aside for leisure.
- Wins cannot be planned; counting on them makes sessions longer.
- Never borrow to play, including from mobile wallet credit.
2. Use the limits in your account
Most casinos offer deposit limits per day, week or month, and many also have loss limits and session reminders. Lowering a limit usually works at once; raising it takes a waiting period. Set them before you claim a bonus.
A worked number: a ₹5,000 bonus at 35x means ₹1,75,000 in bets before you can withdraw. That is how a bonus stretches a session; see how to find and claim bonuses.
3. Know the games
Knowing a game's rules, RTP and volatility prevents costly mistakes. Try new games in demo mode first and check the RTP in the info screen; our RTP guide explains the number.
- Low volatility: small, frequent wins; a budget lasts longer.
- High volatility: rare, large wins and long losing runs.
- Crash games and fast slots use up a budget quickest.
4. Limit your time
- Set a session length and a phone timer.
- Take breaks and stop when the budget is gone, even if time is left.
- Do not play tired, stressed or after drinking.
- Write down stakes and results after each session.
5. Use breaks and get help early
Almost every casino offers a cool-off period and self-exclusion for weeks, months or permanently. Use them early, not after a big loss. India has no national self-exclusion register, so an exclusion covers only the casino where you set it.
